Mufindi Farm lodge and Mufindi highland lodge are the best known accommodation in the area, the cosy family run retreat from which you can tour the tea estates and processing factories, visit local villages, go walking, horse-riding, fly-fishing and golf. So far the place is perfect for tree plantation of fruits, timbers and environmental conservational purposes though we bring your feelings close to our areas of operation when you are around the highlands. Day 0: Arrive in Iringa for dinner and overnight at Iringa Sunset Hotel

Day 1: Iringa-Mufindi highlands

Breakfast then depart Iringa with our team for a transfer you to Mufindi for lunch at the Lodge. After lunch take a short walking tour around the lodge to discover an environmental conservation, fruits, honey production and the sources of food around the site.

Day 2: Social activities

This morning you’re going to start your social activities soon after your breakfast. Going to Ikanga village, Kidete to Ifupila where you will visit the Stone Valley Tea Estate for activities on green tea leaves of different species like Mkonge 1, Colonic 207, and more. Lunch will be served along the way to Lugoda tea and processing factories where you will participate in a primary drying, processing, sorting and packing of the tea products and tasting. At 6:00pm we will drive to Mafinga town for dinner and overnight stay at Marine Hotel.

Day 3: Mufindi - Isimila then Iringa biking safari to Kalenga Museum

Today you are going to wake up early for breakfast at your Lodge and then take a short drive to Isimila Stone Age site and Earth pillars. Here you will discover the uses of stone tools from around 400,000 years ago. You will see different excavations and research from different Universities all over the world. A short walk around the Gorge and pillars, formed as a result of water and wind erosion. You will get a great view of birds and animal tracking along the way for about 2 hours which will be followed by a short drive to Iringa Town for lunch at the restaurant.

After a little nap, you will bike around Iringa town and out to Kalenga Museum where you will learn of the ORIGIN and relationships between the Hehe people and other foreigners since 1980’s, not only from the past also today and future as we refer to CHIEF MKWAWA. Depending on how you feel, you will bike back to your hotel or drive by a trek jeep. Enjoy your dinner and overnight stay at the Hotel in Iringa.

Day4: Gift shopping then transfer to Iringa airport for Zanzibar

Today you are going to have a sharp morning, since you will do gift shopping in Iringa homemade shops and carvings from any time to 9:00am then transfer to Iringa airport for your flight to  Dar es salaam, Zanzibar or nearby cities. If you are leaving by bus our team will take you stations and organize your schedules before you leave.
